What do you think, is one of my fuel injectors going?

I was always under the impression that the fuel injector problem was specifically linked to 95/96 models. However, a local mechanic of mine told me that all Maxima years have had known fuel injection problems, although the recent ones not as much.

What I'm getting at is that when I go over 80 mph recently, I notice a very dramatic and sudden fuel "cut-off" - that's what it actually feels like. It only happens when I go WOT and over 80 mph or so, never when going WOT 80-. If I accelerate lightly pass 80, everything is normal. I don't think it's anything to do with the limiter or what not because I can be in 5th, at some 4k rpm, and when I go WOT from there, it'll happen.

Anyway, this lag lasts for about 10 or 15 seconds, during which I am unable to accelerate at all. Is it one of my fuel injectors going? Are there ways to check if a fuel injector is bad? Thanks in advance.

There are ways to check the conditions of the fuel injectors, (I think through voltage), do you have a Haynes manual?
