knock sensor

other than running a diagnostic on the ecu and check engine light how else can you tell if your knock sensor is bad?

no lowend torque and bad gas milage
also the engine feels boggy at about 2500rpm in second gear.

Don't be afraid of checking the codes, it's really easy. There's also a way to check the voltage (it's in the faq someplace). I guess even if the code is there it may not be bad, hence the voltage check.
