I neeed helllp

i desperatly need to know if my 95 maxima with 170000 miles will tow a 3500 lbs u-haul across country

Please help me

i thought the tow capacity for a maxima was 1000lbs

3500lbs is a lot thats 1.75 tons

if you put rubber stops in the coils of your rear spring...the ride will suck but the trailer will sag less..

good luck with that.

Yah and afterwards go ahead and just throw the max away cause its going to be nothing but scrap.

I mean thats why they have Multiple ton trucks man..

You'd be better off renting a Uhaul truck and towing the Maxima.

You could probably get the Max to tow 3500lbs, but then you have to worry about stopping. Once you get going it will be VERY hard (if not impossible) to get the Max to stop quickly. You will probably jack-knife. Towing capacity is more dependant on vechicle weight than power. 3500lbs is way too much for the Max. Also if you plan to tow DO NOT use Overdrive. You will kill your auto tranny that way.

A class I hitch is all that is offered, that's 2000lbs. 3500 is way too much.

thanks for all your help, i bought a truck and towed the car, so, I GOT TO KEEP THE MAXIMA!!
