Value of auto tranny?

Im seriously considering doing the 5 speed conversion and I want to know what I could expect to get for my auto tranny with 50,000 miles on it in perfection condition if I sell it.

i am guessing around 800-1000 bucks. 50k miles is not very many miles, a good bargain compared to a rebuild. Depends if you can get a local buyer too, having to pay for shipping would be a real burden for you and the buyer.

Thats what I was thinking but there a lot of auto transmissions available if you search for them and so I've heard they can be tough to get rid of

Have you shopped around for the 5spd conversion? If so, how much is it expected to cost?
I originally got my car because I was commuting 50 miles to work every day, but now I take the train to the new office and would like a 5spd for the little driving that I do now.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
