Leave or paint chrome door handles?

I have an SE, and the previous owner bought chrome handles. Since I'm getting a full paint job in may, do you guys think i should sand and paint the chrome handles body color?

Unless you're going all out with chrome window trim, chrome grille, chrome wheels, etc., I'd get them painted body color.

paint, definitely. chrome is fugly.

I'm going to do the same thing this summer, and take some trimbrite around the door chrome trim as well. Only question I have is whether to paint the handles bm1 blue or a gloss or matte black.

i think it depends on your body color... if you are getting a dark color, then id say leave em. I have a white se, with white handles and i don't think chrome would look good on it, but if it was black, or maybe gold then yeah... also i agree with JeffesonM because it also depends on your accessories too...

My suggestion would be to shave the door handles? If your goning to paint your entire car now would be the time to consider putting in the extra work. I think Autoloc has everything you need to shave the door handles. As you can probably tell I'm a fan of the smooth look. If you decide not to shave the door handles, then paint them body color, no matter what color you decide to go with. I think the less obvious they are the better the vehicle will look?

depends on the rest of your trim, your wheels, and the color of your car. i think chrome can look good on most colors but really depends on what else you've got going on.

Paint them. Chrome on black seems too luxurious. Unless you want the luxury look, paint it. Paint it and give it that sporty 4DSC look.
