foglight rewire problem...help?

Today I rewired my foglights and I tapped them into the red/blue wire going into the parking lights and I tihnk the 12v might have touvhed the chassi. Now my headlights are the only lights that work. What could be wrong? Did I blow a fuse?

umm.. check the fuse and dont wire to the parking lights.. there is a write up i believe at vqpower.com that the splice is all self contained in the fuse box.. literally only less then a foot of wire that is needed.. suggest that one and def check all fusses.. ALL....

next time also DISCONNECT THE BATTERY>>> saves alot of trouble..

good luck.. email me if u have any questions.. id be glad to help ya..

I'm pretty sure the write up said to splice into the blue-red wire. Anyway, where are the fuses I need to check?

check the ones in ur car and the ones in the engine bay.. when i say check all def check all.. anything could ahve blown.. i have blown fuses taht have had nothing to do with anything that i was doin and well its not fun. when u say the headlights are the only things that work.. dash and interior is all out??? if so then thats a fuse in ur car... the main fuses are in ur egnine bay...

The lights that don't work are the parking lights, the ocrner lights, and the foglights.

wel it sounds like its localized.. maybe the relay for the lights...if there is one.. try calling the nearest autozone.. those fuses are in the bay tho...

I checked all those fuses, only one that was blown was the audio.

try replacing it anyway, or testring the fuse on a tester because sumtimes you cant even tell they are broken, if it ish broken from a tip because they are small fuses, that has happened to me also,

uh oh, thats not a good sign (from my experience). When I grounded out before, I blew my audio fuse, shorted out the wire, and now my radio doesnt work. The fusable link also partially blew, allowing me to only start the car, and only the headlights worked (sounds like a similar situation). try checking the fusable link (120-140 amp fuse in the drivers side fuse box under the hood). i replaced that, and all the lights work fine, but still no radio.
