GR-2's on SE springs???

I am going to replace my stock struts with 100k on them. I am leaning towards GR-2's with the SE springs. I want to firm up the ride a bit, but don't want it to be harsh over bumps(just firm/well dampend) cause the roads here suck for the most part. Will this setup be what I want?
Also I am thinking about springs but don't have the money for all of it right now, I know the ride quality will deteriorate a little.
I don't have to worry about install costs cause my buddy has a shop. I am probably going with Eibachs or H&R's (based on friends experiences) or maybe tein H springs when I get the cash. Would GR-2's be a good combo with any of these springs?
I don't want that lowered car bounce that my bro had with his H&R's, probably cause of the struts though.
By the way I have looked at drews mod page, just wanted some real world feedback, thanks to all that respond.

GR2's are excellent replacements for SE springs. Although I wouldn't suggest pairing them up with any type of lowering spring.

Are we talking uncomfortable/harsh firm or tightened up, well dampend firm?

From all I have heard here on the .org, you can pair up GR2's with minor drop like H&R, Maxspeed, Maybe Progress. I would not use them with more drop than that. In fact, the 1.7 inch drop with the progress springs might be pushing it.
Also, the OEM replacement struts are Tokico HP(blues). They cannot handle any drop, according to most here on the .org.
