under drive pulley

under drive pulley

Ok I put it on friday took it out for a spin and was dissapointed. I might have done something worng. It is making a sputtering sound, it hesitates when reving and going to redline takes for ever. Can anybody tell me what went worng? thanks.

um....did you tigthen belts all the way? new oil seal? crank the F*** out of the pulley bolt to tighten it. maybe it's spinning loosely? just a few ideas. I'm definitely no expert.

is theer any downfalls to haveing a pully. i have heard it takes a toll on your charging system.

Sounds like your crank position sensor may have been damaged. I'd put your stock one back on as soon as possible.

It's better to research your mods before you buy them, some pulleys are known for having that problem:

on that link about pulleys it actually says if u plan to get a supercharger it makes no sense, because u do not want to under drive a supercharger...since i am planning for that mod next year...i wont waste my money...bout to get that haywood 404 tranny cooler and save up for that Greddy SP2
