KS bypass

I just did the KS bypass today with a 740k resistor. The 0304 code went away and now i have the normal 0505 all clear code. How long will it take for me to notice any difference, if any? I know this is only a temporary fix as I will hopefully be getting my new KS sometime this week. Is there anything I should watch out for? It hasn't been too hot here lately in Pittsburgh, so I'm not worried about the car knocking.

hmm..didn't really notice much. Socrates, all i did was get a 740k resistor from Radioshack for like a dollar, then you disconnect the KS subharness and put each lead of the resistor in each pin of the harness going to the ecu, not the KS. then i taped it up real good with electrical tape. i made sure to reset my ecu too.

If lets say the engine vibrated really bad, is it possible for the knock sensor to advance timeing so much that the engine wont run? Im having this problem on another car and everyting seems to lead to this knock sensor. Im going to try the resistor thing and see if it fires. Thanks in advance
