has anyone experienced or figured out why there is a humming noise coming from the engine when you first start it and when its in park. It goes away when i put the car in drive. Also i feel a werid crunchy vibration type thing while driving my car, my brother has noticed it too when drove the car. Not sure what it is or how to fix it or troubleshoot it.

I have replaced my Knock sensor very recently and the car is running in good condition. Great gas mileage, new tires, proper pressure, got a clean K&N filter in there...pretty much very well maintained....oh yeah its got 117000 miles on it so its getting a little old but i dont think its that many miles for it to start dieing already.

is it a specific RPM?because my car resonates at 750 rpms because fo the ypipe, is it a humming or a whining

 

it is more of a humming type noise i think and its more noticeable when sitting inside the car and when the car is in idle. It can also be heard when i have the hood open go close to intake manafold and the firewall.
