I was thinking about getting new rims in the future, but I am not sure. I have people talk about rims being heavier than the wheels already on the max, and they said it actually hurt them performance wise. Also someone was talking about how it was harder to spin a bigger wheel because the weight is dispersed differently. So I was wondering what would be a nice light rim that would increase performance and looks. Anyone have any ideas?

I think the biggest difference you will feel with bigger rims is the harsher ride. I went from 15" - 17" and the ride immediately deteriorated from "pretty bad" to "horrible."

The added weight of the wheel is more than offset by the increase in handling performance, in my opinion. So, the biggest question is how harsh do you want the ride.
