Greddy muffler knockoff question

I came across this on ebay --> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
It basically says it's a Greddy SP 'style' muffler. Does anybody know how this knockoff compares to the real thing? Could it be the same situation as the intake... does it really matter what brand-name is on the product?

Matter in what sense? Mufflers don't give you hp so in that sense it doesn't matter. The sp doesn't really sound that good/bad so that shouldn't matter either.

the only things that looks like the actual greddy sp, is the tip. Other than that... it looks different.

If you're going to spend $100 for a muffler, don't waste it on an ebay version.
Put your $100 towards a decent muffler like a Powertech or something along those lines.

1 that thing sucks. 2 it prolly sounds like a fart can. 3 I'm sure that u have to weld it on. 4 yea it is sooo light cause it is a tin can. the person buying it would prolly just buy it on looks and thats it. If you are buying that for performance or sound i bet you would be better off just having no muffler.

Well I have bought couple of universal mufflers already off of ebay. One for a 97 sentra and it turned out well and it is still in great condition, no raspy noise, no "fart can" noise or what so ever. For my maxima I am currently using that muffler right now the GreddySP Style. However they sure raised the price on it though hah! But since I have a WS Y-pipe, Carsound cat, stock B-pipe, and this muffler; it does not sound raspy, bad, or fart canish. The muffler produces a deep tone nothing more and nothing less. That's just my experiences.
