problem with led bulbs and my max

hey, have you guys tried led bulbs in your maximas? ive tried 1156 bulbs from jamstrait and they work just awesome on my rear blinkers but barely light up on the front blinkers. ive mixed and matched all around and got nothing. ive also tried both pairs of bulbs that i got on my friend's max and found the same thing. they guys at jamstrait are just as baffeled as i am. has anyone had this problem with leds and their front blinkers?

also, how can i test my led mirror shells? i tried to plug one in into the connector for my rear side marker light and ended up burning out the tail lamp fuse! where can i safely plug one in to see if it works? would it be a bad idea to run it straight off the battery?

Bump....interesting.
I would like to know too.
I don't really have any experience with LED's, but would like to find out.

standard leds wont fully light up the front blinkers or the back ones, the front ones point right out, and the rear one point diagnally out.

If you get LEDs you need to get the ones wide some pointing out the sides, "sidefiring" or somthing like that, theyt will use your reflective housings and light up like a bulb would.

You need to get these LEDs

If you have these in fornt and back you are also going to need those resistor cable things..

my leds work just fine in the back, they light up super bright. but when i put them in the front they wink weakly, almost like they aren't getting enough juice. they bulbs themselves are fine though. i have gen2s in the back and the bulb points straight back so the light from the leds is clearly seen. the same goes for the front, the bulb points forward. but it barely lights up.

hey i just noticed your other post Tyrexx. what brand are those bulbs?

Thats true the gen2s point right out, stock 97-99s I would suggest against getting led turn signals, I tried them, they barely light up because theyre pointed out wierd.

http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm

cause LEDs hardly use any power so your turn signal will be VERRYYYYY fast of it wont work, then you need these, expensive because you need one for every bulb
