*help* engine jerks/idle problem

so where to start...

have a 99 GXE. when i'm in drive and stopped, there is an intermittent and moderate "jerk" or skip/hesitation in the engine and idle ticks down slightly, just for a moment. this happens frequently, and seemingly more often in the afternoon than in the morning. idle is also very shaky. to make matters worse, there are no ecu codes present.

took it to the stealership, they recommended tune and upper engine decarb. did the tune, which of course failed to help. i cleaned the TB and fuel system myself, took the car to another dealer, they're saying the first dealer never replaced the plugs or fuel filter when they (supposedly) performed the tune.

could old plugs or filter be causing this? i know the coils can be a problem too. first dealer said they were fine after i asked them to check, but i have no faith that they actually did at this point. if a coil is only intermittently malfunctioning, will it also test bad intermittently? this problem is SOOOOO annoying, any ideas on what could be causing it or how to fix?

also, is strangling a service manager illegal?

i have the exact same problem.
if you get any answers let me know.
yeah the jerk/skip happens more when the engine is warm but very intermittently.
and you might want to stay away from the strangling.

sounds like the coils, ive read posts about this maybe 2 weeks ago bout people's car jerking while idling, you should swap coil packs or remove them one by one to see with which one removed is there no difference in the jerking
