ask the seller if you have to drill a hole in the fender, and your best bet is to buy a K&N filter to attach instead of the crappy one they give you

Dude there not saying a k@n will give you more power. They are saying how ever that the non oiled cheap paper filter supplied in those kits does not protect you engine as good. And they are right

once you connect the MAF it is definitely long enough, incase you forgot that you put the MAF in the middle of the two pipes.

Do you know what the oil on those filters does? It attracts dirt so it clings to the filter element. Thats all! Even if dirt that small entered your engine it would be eaten up in the combustion process.

Just make sure not to over oil and you'll be alright. Don't forget that there are other companies with reusable filters (Accel, Nismo, etc., etc.). I believe Accel has a similar warranty to K&N's.

If you truly think that everything would be ok with small particles entering the intake then you are sadly mistaken.

You choose not to buy a K&N, that's fine...you choose not to add ~5hp over a cheaper paper filter, that's your loss not ours.

No difference between the actual intake, it's not smart to spend $250 on an intake

You are completely right, air filtration is useless, from now on I'm going to use a piece of screen off of my porch, or better yet I might even just remove the filter entirely! I mean if it all gets burned up anyway ....

While on the subject of useless protection for your car, I think I'll save some money on oil filters by using a balled up sock in a can.

When we say ebay filters are ****, that is exactly what they are. So if you want to use one fine, but don't come crying to me when the POS shreds and feeds your engine with paper.

HAHAHAHAHA,

I'd prefer to do this recursively

...perhaps tail recursion? ..that way you can loop as many times as you want, efficiently. lol

wut up my fellow programmers. anyways you may want to spend a little more money because of a thing called a....CARB sticker. you may not need it for smog but have you guys heard how cops are checking for it now? its better to pay a little more then to go to a state station tsk tsk.

I got the Ebay cai, and its the same as the Bomz shape. And the filrter is not made of paper! its cotton. oiled up cotton. So whats the big deal everyone is talking about in here? What is true CAI?
The only way you could get true cai is from directly out side the car! Therefore no one really has it unless you have a hood scoop.

Yea...damn those California emissions laws, but I'm thinking as long as I keep my car looking and sounding like stock from the outside, they wont think to check under the hood if i get pulled over, good plan?

HAHAHA you guys are funny. Obviously K&N's 20 HP GAIN has really gotten through to some of you. You show me the supposed 5 hp increase of the K&N verses the ebay filter which IS NOT paper, but made of the same material your precious K&N is made out of. And if small particles do pass through your filter, which as a matter of fact happens ALL the time without you knowing, they are micro meters in size. That is all
