about your question CRAIG10114 the foam filters don't need oil. I know the HKS intake uses a foam filter as well (a damn expensive one at that). The only negative I've heard of the foam filters is that some dry out and start to fall apart. Just do periodic checkups on the weapon-r to make sure its alright. Remember periodic maintenance is the key to saving money in the long run.
