205/45/17 on 17x7.5 ok?

Are 205/45/17 size tires too small on a 17x7.5 wheel on a 4th gen maxima? Also, would the ride be too harsh because of the reduced height? Thanks... nm

205? yes its too small. for a 7.5 rim you could use 215,225,or 235. Now with these the look changes. If you want a bubble affect on your tire you can get 235. it wont be to bad but you will have some protection on those curbs. The 215 will give you that sleek low profile look. The choice is up to you

Well if you have any intersted in keeping the od and speedo reading correctly, the 205-40-17 is WAY too small for a maxima. It's also very thin. Expect a harsh ride and little or no curb protection on a 7.5" inch rim. It's up to you.

Get either 225/45-17 or 235/45-17.
