suspension noise on pot holes

I drive about 400 miles a week most on highway pot holes, lately I have been hearing a noise on every pot hole from the whole front like a clucking noise "click clock like something is moving" I am not sure what it is could this be my motor mounts going bad? or something else.. I never changed my control arm bushing nor the sway bar bushings could eather be it?

You might want to take a look and the strut mounts and bushing. Also check your tokico blues because they break down overtime.

If it's a clunk, it's probably the nut at the top of the shock tower that's loose. Tighten it back up and you should be good. I'm not sure what the torque spec is on that nut, but I bet someone else here does.

maybe it's the top of your coil springs rubbing against each other? I think I have that and am going to wrap some rubber hose around the back pair (where I think the sound is coming from), to address that issue.

Could be a couple things incl the ones mentioned earlier. While the car is parked open the hood & try pressing down the fender from the side right next to each strut. Do it really hard like you would with a bumper/shock test. Get the car bouncing if you can. Does it make the same noise? Is the top of the strut moving around at all?

I changed the sway bar bushings, stab bushings, and links bushings. Sound went away the only thing I hear now is when coming in and out of driveways a small noise like a bushing is stretching. I think it might be the control arm bushing?

My uncles max had a similar problem with clunking which seemed to be coming from the passengers wheel well. After months of searching one mechanic found that the control arms's ball joint was really worn down and was clunking around in the socket. it was a basically cheap fix too about $180 w/ labor. BTW his max has a little over 100k miles.
