Gona drop it!
Ok.. i got my KYB AGX struts...and i just sent payment in for my Ground Control Coil-overs...
I wana drop the max as soon as i get them, but im wondering what i should replace when i do...what is necessary, what is recomended? etc...
I want these struts to last me along time and i dont wana take em out after i find out i should have replaced a bushing or something.. i want to install it and leave without worries...
what shall i do to accomplish my goals?

i would actually like to know also, i'll be putting in tein s techs and tokico illuminas this summer. btw i have a '95 gle w/ 78k miles. i know there's been threads about this before, but the search function is broke. the only things i can think of right know we should consider getting:
motivational rear strut mounts
and the kyb dust boots (or OEM and cut the bumpstop shorter)

I have Sprints sitting in my garage, and on the way are my Illuminas and KYB Dustboots. Don't know what else to really get, if your CV axles are shot I'd replace those while your at it.
But if your going 2" drop like I am, I would suggest some KYB Dustboots or cut the stock ones. You'll need all the travel you can get so you don't bottom out badly.

Id kinda like a little bit of guidance on cutting the bumpstops too since I will be putting on coilovers w/ in a week or two. As far as boots, my stocks are pretty shot, I think I might try to get replacement factory's if they are cheaper and Im hoping camber wont be an issue

Several points here:
1, coilovers do NOT require strut boots. There is nowhere to attach them.
2, if you have ground controls with AGX you must grind or file the (6 or 8) sided flange off of the strut body. The coilover sleeve needs to slide onto the strut body, and the flange gets in the way.
3, the KYB strut boot info (for the rest of you) is in the FAQs. The bumpstops are precut.
4, for coilovers, you cut the bumbstops OFF OF the OEM strut boots and use JUST the bumpstops, not the rest of the strut boot. You may trim it ta the narrow part of the neck to add a bit of suspension travel.
5, For all applications, I would replace the strut bearings.

wow, im gonna have to take a closer look at the suspension. Its just kinda a pain in the @ss since you dont wanna always take it all apart, or have it just sittinng in pieces for a week or two while you get all the parts you want. Good info though, thanks!!
