I am curious also on emissions after exhaust mods. I am about to install a Budget Y-pipe and am hoping I can pass Mass. emissisions in November. I will surely run the car for a long time before inspection to get the main cat working. That would suck if I have to shell out the $686 for a nissan Y with the precats.

Thanks,
MM

just warm your car up properly before you get tested, and you'll pass fine. The pre-cats only help while hte car is warming up, which is the only thing a y-pipe removes. As long as your stock cat is warmed up, and it properly working order, you'll pass fine.

I passed a month ago with a y-pipe and cat-back exhaust, I actually passed by a pretty good margin cause the car was left running right up to the point where it was put on the rollers.
