question....do I need to buy new front pads because front rotors are warped??????

well like the subject said I have a 98 se and inside of 5 months a brand new pair of brembo slotted cross/dimpled rotors warped i really didnt do much racing that caused me too abuse them..I also thought that brembo was supposed too be top of the line?? I paired the rotors with ebc geenstuff pads I suspect that they may have played a part because of there harshness but cant really be sure ... in any case I have a new pair of dim/slot brembos and was wonderin if I can still use the front pads or are they toast?? also would the nissan oe stand up well too these rotors thanx??!!..

Drilled rotors are gonna crack on you no matter what, Brembo or not. Common sense should tell you that if the pads still have meat on them you should use them. As for the GREENSTUFF being that harsh I don't agree. I have them paired with $40 rotors from ebay and they work excellent.

I have also used the Greenstuff, and they were fine. Although they dusted a lot, they were good pads.
I would just get some blanks from your local parts store instead of dropping that kind of cash on rotors to be "Brembo."
You ought to be able to get some rotors for like $20 each. I found some for this price.

Actually, idiot, you said you have slotted cross/dimpled. As I have never heard of such a thing, I assumed you have trouble remembering words and forgot to write drilled. My apologies for you being stupid. Like I said, if the pads stil l have more meat left on them then use them or can't you read either without skipping words? More common sense writing here. If you had any, you would've checked sites that have reviews of pads and rotors or figure out what ebay is for. Ebay is your friend even if you are illiterate.

Now, if the rotors warpped on uou then either you rode them too hard, got them wet when they were still hot, or they weren't brembos. I have POS rotors from ebay and they are ENOUGH for daily driving. Maybe you installed them wrong? They are marked L and R and you could've gotten them mixed up.

To answer your question.....

I agree with Big D, if there is still some meat left on the pads, put them on the new rotors. I mean, even if they are not seated perfectly flat on the rotor at first, they will very quickly adjust to the shape of the new rotor....which is what you want.

No, but they would probably squeal like a stuck pig.

Uneven pad wear....maybe.
I don't think that has anything to do with the shims though. It has more to do with the caliper, and how it grabs the pad to push against the rotor.
