Who would like to see a full Carbon Fiber aero kit made for the 97-99 max?

Hi guys!

We are in the process of making a new set of molds for our 97-99 body kit. I have had a few members ask me if I was ever going to produce my kit in CF and my response would be no because the molds that I have at the shop are not CF compatible.

My question is how many members would like to see a full Carbon fiber body kit made for the 97-99 maxima? The kit would consist in our new 97-99 Carbon Fiber front lip, Ionic sides and two piece rear. The price would be around the 750 dollar mark for the full kit. (keep in mind that this will be cheaper than a stillen kit because you won't have to paint it).

Please visit my site at www.ionicdynamics.com to see pics of the kit.

Please let me know what you guys think so we can also get these new molds made!

Jose.

Jose,

Not sure about CF, but how much do the two piece rear go for?

Thanks

im probably one of the biggest fans of CF but i think a complete kit will look kinda odd. thats just my oppinion tho. on a black car or dark car it would look great but it ont be a kit for everyone. i say this sooooo often but good ideas for carbon fiber IMO are, side mirrors, and a cool CF headliner. i see alot of honda, acura, mitsubishi that have these headliners and they look cool when sitting in the car and is the perfect accent for those who have CF dash, and CF door trims. save the time and effort, dont make a CF body kit, instead spend that time/money coming out with a nice bodykit.

i think we need to develop more lip kits for the max(different designs) lip kit on the max looks sick so why not have different desins, more aggresive? more stylish?, more class?

When the carbon fiber hood and front lip came out for the Maxima, i thought it was pretty eye pleasing-especially if they were paired up.

But once i heard ideas like carbon fiber trunklid, mudflaps, and now a whole stillen kit, i think it would be WAY too tacky. My 2 cents

I COULDN'T AGREE MORE..forget the cf kit. We need a new style kit that blends in better with the lines of our cars than the Stillen Kit. The Honda/Acura guys have plenty of clean kits we really only have the Stillen kit.

some pics of some nice, clean, subtle lips:

And I favor this style one-piece rear valence design far over the ionic dynamics (no offense) and stillen two piece kits.

i agree on more kits... OH! SORRY!, umm the CF kit... not for me... even though it would be cheaper... I got a white max, and Im not to sure it would look that good... I think this could definately be a good idea though for some people with darker cars... ?? Maybe it's just me?

... some of those civic hatch lips were OK!... but that acura looked like a new saturn...

i think everyone will agree ionic, what the max needs is more lip kits. i think the stilen is wat would be called an "all around kit" what we need is 1 for a nice classy look, and one for a nice agressive yet something that doesnt look overdone. I kinda like the way those new camrys look (the ones that come with that new underbody kit, similar to the corolla S) The kit on the camry accents its body and makes that car look so much sportier. I personally would be more in favor of an aggresive looking lip kit.
Features id like to see in the kit are:

style thats a tad bit sportier that stillen, A front lip similar to that blue/black civic posted by ludacris, sides similar to sarona, a rear that is one piece similar to that white HB Civic ludacris posted. maybe have the kit a lil taller so the car looks lower to the ground. and DEF MADE OF URETHANE.

just in case you develop more than 1 kit, id like to see them at simialr prices and the option to mix and match sides, lips, rears so everyone will have the feeling of having a unique kit. just my thoughts, i hope we can get this started. id like to get a body kit for my car but only one im feeling is the stillen style. lets get some new designs out there.

P.S
Ive seen a few lip kits made by a company called "Buddy Club" (sp?) and they looked awsome, maybe somebody can dig up some pics to give ionic some ideas?

I agree with everything you said...I will be getting a kit this Summer and I would like another choice other than Stillen. Def needs to be made of urethane.

This is the only Buddy Club front end I know...if you're talking about this then I gotta disagree, I've always thought it was ricey looking. You can just look at the way the guy fixed up the car and tell its catering to the rice crowd..

edit: here's more pics of the lip the black hatch has

i agree, we have a lot of good selections for sides and rears but IMO the only two good front kits are the M bumper and the stillen lip. We need a new lip or bumper (preferably lip cause its much easier, cheaper, and i think most people would feel more comfortable with a new design lip than a full bumper. We need something simple, yet classy. I wish my photoshop skills were on point...

BTW, no combo is better than a full kit with carbon fiber front lip. If u make a full kit i dont think it will look that great...although it would be a good way to look two toned...can someone actually draw a pic of this?

I'm feeling the OEM Integra Type-R lip most...it just fits the car, like it was molded onto it. The Stillen kit always looks added on, this lip changes the front end completely but still looks like it was designed to fit the car's design.

as long as you own a dark colored max and plan on having a CF hood and or trunk lid as well i honestly dont think it would sell that well.

I gotta admit though Ionic, you guys over there truly are the best when it comes to custom fab work for the 95-99maxima!

I'm ready to see and buy a full Carbon Fiber Lip Kit. But why not come out with a 95-96 Version also.

$750 price range sounds like a winner.

Slightly to the side of topic, but:
I'd like to see a simple, but aggressive CF or plastic upper and lower grill kit too. Something that would accentuate the fairly large openings. Maybe a Cobra or 50's-60's Mazzerati influence that melds with the rest of the car.

alright, Lips are kewl... they are nice, cheap, look classy yet sporty, blah blah blah... I personally always thought that CF lip on the max was Unique but it looked a lil wierd without more CF....also it looks a lil pointless... A whole CF kit... that would be interesting... i just dont know what it would look like... i personally like the idea..

As for what i would recomend? i would advise you guys develope something NEW and creative, the stillen lip and M bumper are the only 2 kits that look appealing at all... the rear valances for the stillen kit IMO look kinda wierd.. the sarona rear bumper looks sick.. if you want a classy look, first of all you CANT be on a budget.. i think there are PLENTY of body kits out there for the low budget peeps.. we need something COMPLETE... a new completely designed bumper would make us stand out, and make the 4th gen look like a completely diferent car.. just dont make it too ricey.. if you want a sleek sporty look get a lip, cheap and makes sense if you just want that sportier "closer to the ground, sports car" kinda look...

IMO develope a kit with something that replaces something as a whole...like a front bumper.. possibly a rear bumper for us ballers out there? im really sick of just seeing front lips all over.....and the only thing that looks appealing now is the M bumper... but its made of Fiber glass.. change the way the max looks dont just keep adding to stock looks... make something unique, and creative.... be a little open minded...but not ricey or wierd...

another thing... i have noticed, that most of the full kits out there have to be peiced together to look good on our cars.. the stillen lip is nice.. but the side skirts are horribly plain IMO... and the rear valances are O.K. but not too bad, i just wouldnt get em.. the sarona side skirts are nice and so is the rear bumper (HOT!!!) but the front bumper is honestly....well...wierd....the Ionic side skirts are also sweet...but everything else is not really my style as far as the rest of the complete kit....and last but not least, the skyline kit; horrible front bumper, horrible side skirts, and a HOT rear bumper..

develope something allong the lines of NOT having to peice the body kits together.. its kinda anoying..
