Strange Steering/Alignment Behavior

I finally replaced the driveaxles on my car. After I replaced them I took it to a shop to have it aligned. I don't know if the problem started after the axle change or after the alignment, as it was the next day. It's tricky to describe, here's my best shot:

From a stop, the car will accelerate normally and straight. When it shifts, one of two things will happen, if I'm accelerating fast enough, the car will jerk to the right pretty hard. If the accleration is more gradual, the car will shift and the steering wheel feels disconnected to the wheels, but if I move the wheel a little bit, the car will then jerk to the right. After this I have to hold the wheel about 20 degrees left of center to keep the car driving straight.

I'm having a hard time imagining what is making the car do this. All thoughts are appreciated. It's a 95 GLE automatic, mileage is 149900

Thanks guys

Sounds alot like torque steer (which is normal) but I don't know why it wouldn't have happened before the new axles.

Bump.

I was on the highway the other day and when I punched it to pass, the car would jerk to the right so much that it was dangerous. I know this isn't normal torque steer. Any more thoughts?
