Ok so for the past couple of weeks I keep hearing this squeaking....its not even really squeaking its more like when the bushings and ball joints are gone on a 58 chevy.....like a raspy squeek (horse and buggy squeek?) . Ok so anyways kept happening while I was stopping so i checked everything out and looked a ok.
So the other day I am sitting at a red light with the window down...I am taking her out of first and putting into neutral...and as I push in and release the clutch I hear the squeek. Any ideas what it could be? I can also feel it in the clutch pedal like its rubbing up against something not really sure. BUt so annoying and dont know if its serious or not.

Thoughts?
By the way the noise is inside the firewall area........not inside the car.

 

I get the same thing. I hear it outside, but it's on the inside as well. Something's definitly not well lubed..
