Bees in can sound. Thinking it is the flex section

It gets worse when I put on the air conditioning. I think that the flex section of my y-pipe might be on its way out. Where can I get a replacement piece to havea muffler shop reweld in? I havne't taken off the end of the y-pipe closest to the catalytic conveter to see if the flex lining has closed in on itself. Will check that out this weekend. Power definatly feels down and the only way I can get decent gas mileage is if I cruise at low RPM's. Performance..... that is gone, probably a bad knock sensor (no MIL light though, but enough miles to warrant changing it out).

I have searched through about 25 pages on the 4th Gen forums and can't find anything yet, and there isn't anything mentioned in the FAQ or Mods stickies about it.

Can anyone help?

you can try to wrap the flex section with exhaust wrap.

I had/still have holes in my stock y-pipe and resonator. Boy do I feel a power loss and sounds like a major fart can. I plan on getting a budget y-pipe and a new resonator soon.
