Some jerk tried to steal my stereo ...
Ok,
I come back to my car, the driver's side window is all busted up and my dash is all torn apart. Thankfully they were not able to take my stereo (the Max is a tank when it comes to the stereo bracket), but now I'm saddled with a torn dash, more exactly, the plastic trim around the stereo and AC is all ripped out. Is there somewhere I can buy replacements for these? Junkyard maybe? Do any of you know a good spot in Houston for this?
Thanks,
CFC

Thank you for the Greenleaf link, I will check them out.
The sad thing is I don't really have a "high-end" stereo system. It's an old Sony Cassette deck with CD changer controls. I did take out the faceplate, but I also have an equalizer underneath it, so I imagine that's what they were going for.I also have a subwoofer and two amps in the trunk, but I disabled the trunk release from inside the car; the only way to get to the trunk is by remote or key. I'm not too upset since everything was still there, I just need to replace the trim and of course replace the window.
Thanks for the help,
CFC

Good thing they didn't steal it...
I had my max stolen & they stole the whole system except the bose (fockers couldn't get it out) . . so they kicked it in with their foot into the dash (still needed to be replaced)....
Good Luck.

All this just stinks. It makes me upset when people try to rip other people off. Why can't they just work for what they want. I have had this happen to me before with 2 of my previous cars. I feel bad that you guys had to go through this.

Same thing happened on my old civic. They ripped out the stereo and also messed up the whole mounting plates, dash, window, trunk, etc....
Stealership paid for a new window, refused to talk about their ins, sooo I was left with a car with no stereo whatsoever about 6 months. That **** will drive you crazy if you commute.
