auto shifter ****

I was installing a new shifter **** in my Max today, and somehow a little screw got stuck inside the shifter rod. Now I'm having trouble shifting through gears. Is there a way to take apart the shifter rod to get the screw out? What should I do??

You could remove the whole shifting assembly. It should look something like this. I know it's not from a maxima but you get the point. Take it out and turn it upside down to get that screw out.
