Check out the dyno sheet on the Maxima...

I found this article interesting. It's from Import Tuner, regarding "grounding" kits. The 97 Maxima shows a 11.6 hp gain at 4500 rpm. From a grounding kit?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, search function isn't working for me

wow, that is so interesting. I hear that they give about 15hp to FI cars and very little to N/A. Hmmm....maybe I should get one.

thats pretty cool, not to bad to get almost 12 extra hp for just $100, considering most people spend $180+ for a y-pipe that is supposed to give about the same increase.
have to look into one of those

umm my grounding kit was $12, and it even has it's own (-) battery post. I'm switching a few of my grounding points very soon.

I have copper 8 Gauge wire from an audio shop, Add some connectors and there you go, a very cheap grounding kit.

ALSO

I like the red accent in the engine bay, but if you don't it's very easy to hide the wires.

I recommend a homemade grounding kit

my bad then, i was just going by what the article said, havent even looked into the product, first time ive ever actually read about it though.
i guess thats a prime example of not lookin around for the best deal instead of buying the first one you see

pretty basic to do?(seems pretty easy). how long did it take?

I think the $12 investment (plus what, one hour of time?) doesn't sound too bad... but I wouldn't reccommend the $100 kit, it's just copper wire. Worst case scenario: You're out $12 for no improvment, I don't believe there could be any harm by trying it, but there may be something to gain.
