Got my new toy today.

Even came with the complete wiring harness intact. Hopefully I can get the tranny repaired without to much trouble.

You have it home already or not. Ebay says that Reserve was not met. In that case you won't get it for just $100, but I might be mistaken...

Look at the top of the page:

"This item or one like it has been relisted. "

So I guess they had more than one. What did you pay for it BW? None of my business, I know, just wondering.

Why would you need a mevi on this engine? It's already equipped with one.

The engine is a vq30 not a vq35. Same internals as the 4th gen.

He is supposed to have swaped in a 2K-2k1 engine into his 4th gen, but used the 4th gen intake manifold.

yup that is what my bro and i did. and te reason for me to get a mevi is that i am not using the 2k-2k1 manifold right now. so if i get a mevi, it will be the same thing but with less problems installing it.

Not really sure which way to go with it yet. My first thoughts are to talk to krismax about the VI workings and drop it in there and with the '00 VI. Or I could drop it in with my MEVI and lower intake manifold on and see how that works. I've got 4 races this summer so I can't have tha car down for too long until after October. I'll keep you guys posted with any new developments.

All this explaining and you stil have no damn clue. A MEVI and a 5th gen intake manifold are not the same thing. You won't see the same power curves so how can you say it's the same?

2000-2001 do show decent gains from the vi seeing as they could benifit from a higher red line even stock. I don't however know if there is a way to raise the limiter on 5th gens. And as far as the tranny being ****ed who cares he could just use his. But I do agree that it doesn't look like you got it bro.????

doesn't look like you got it bro.???? what that mean. i know that mevi and the vi are not the same thing but all i was saying that for me it woulbe be less of a problem installing a mevi instead of a vi because the mevi will have all the parts already and instructions but insatlling a vi would pose more of a challenge because of the hood clearence and the ecu and all the wiring that 4th gens do not have for the vi.

Maybe you should make up your mind then cause you said "so if i get a mevi, it will be the same thing but with less problems installing it." It still sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about even after all the times people told you how wrong you were.
