Anti-seize on O2 sensor

Will anti-seize on the sensor portion of the O2 sensor cause a CEL? If so, will cleaning the anti-seize off fix it or is the sensor FUBAR?

I believe in sufficient quantity, yes, anti-seize would foul the sensor & cause a CEL.

I think your best bet would be to hose it down with some aerosol brake parts cleaner & hope for the best.

Good luck!

I used it on mine about 17 months and 15k miles and I'm fine, and I know if it does go bad, I can get it off easily.

It shouldn't cause a CEL just as long as you just wipe it off and make sure the tip is clean. Just be very careful cause your O2 sensor are very delicate. I got aniti-seize on my front O2 sensor when I was reinstalling it during my Y-Pipe install. Wiped it off and have had no problems since.
