auto trany tips
A lot of people around here say that, 95/96 maxima (auto, stock) vs. 2003 Altima 2.5 (5-speed, stock, driver is good with stick) is a pretty close race... those 2.5 Altimas are quick, my co-worker has one, and we want to test it on the track of 1/4 mile.
So my question is: is there any other way to drive an AUTO, except just flooring it?
I know that a lot of you will say that, maxima will smoke the 4 banger heh, but this altima pickes it up pretty quick, so please no discussion of who will take whom, until i will race this guy... only tips on the auto trany
Thanks
Oh, by the way it will be filmed

some people say you should manualy shift and some say you should let the car shift. when i went to the track there was no difference between the two.
make sure you brake torque your car, that is hold the brake to the floor and gas the car to about 1500 to 2k rpms(each car is different).
hit the gas when the last yellow light lights up, dont wait for the green.
thats all i can think of
this is going to be moved to the 1/4 mile forum

when i floor it on DRIVE, my rpm goes to a red line 6500rpm then shifts and then again goes up to 6500rpm then shifts, by that time i am at 80mph...
