trans question

trans question

i was changing my oil and noticed that one of the hoses going to the trans was loose so i tighted the clamp and it stoped leaking i was wondering how i can just add trans fluid without changing all the fluid out?????

do you have a 5spd? if so then you can just take out the filler plug and fill it back up, I think the plug is on the side of the tranny facing the front of the car and it has space for a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar to fit in, just fill it up until it starts to come out that hole and you are set.

Auto- drive the car around until its at hot opperating temperature and while the car is still running put it in neutral and pull the tranny dipstick to see if you are low or not. If low then just put a little at a time down the dipstick tube until its enough.

Im assuming that the hose that was leaking was one of the hoses that go into the fluid cooler inside the radiator right?

yea it was one of those hoses what is the best transmission fluid to use?????
