What other options are there for quality cf hoods? And do they save much in weight over a stock hood?

well a good option for cf hoods is that there is a group deal on them right now. I'm pretty impressed on the hood that i got from Maxmojo.

Other than the 20lb reduction from stock, the hood looks awesome up close.

The hood linked on the first post seems to be the same one from GTP, which from everything I've heard, are quite good. In the description, it listed it as being double sided, where the one from redlinemax is not, IIRC.

Ok, so the CF hoods from the referenced first link are ok? I know that the redlinemax hoods suck, as I have seen them in person. What other companies are out there that offer great, cheaper, oem fitment quality hoods?

Seems as if there are a total of 3 different hoods, the one linked in the first post (which looks to be the same one that GTP sells), the one from redlinemax (non rolled edges), and one from fiber images (which weights the least).

the current redlinemax.com hoods are good shape as long as they are the importfan.com ones. the older ones that have a badge underneath near the hoodlatch that says Supra for some odd reason, aren't worth a ****.

mine was perfect fitment no gaps anywheres didnt have to move the hinges, edges were rolled, and has the GTP logo on it so her new batchs is coming directly from GTP. her first bacth sux (redlinemax) i saw her hood and was exactly like (ceasarschariots) mine was nothing like that link he provided or her own hood mine was like 9 out of 10 only thing i was not happy with was the holes for the nozzles were too small and i had to make them bigger. the hood is strong as well i left it up with nothing holding it but a wood plank and a gust of wind out of nowheres blew it back and it cracked my windshield but the hood was in perfect condition even the popinted corners didnt even chip or bend and thats what cracked my windshield i was very impressed on how strong the hood was but was upset finding out by replacing the windshield

I just got in an accident, and I folded my hood. And now I think I'm going to order this hood. I'm not sure how it will look though, I have a pearl white max, lowered, but stock rims and no body kit. I plan on getting rims and the stillin kit, but I need to get my hood and the other stuff fixed. But I think I might go for this. It might look stupid on a stock looking car at first, but I'll add the kit and rims later, so what do you guys think? And if you guys say it's the import fan hood, people say it's a good quality hood, so I think I'll give it a try. I'm going to call this place first and make sure it's the hood everyone says is good.

But what if this hood is the same one that is manufactured by importfan or GTP or whatever, which everyone says is a good quality hood?

I emailed them, and they told me that it's the hood manufactured by GTP/C-Wings, which is the same hood as importfan.com. Can anyone who has the GTP hood comment on the quality of the hood, and the fitment? If the hood is actually good, it's a great deal, the hood will cost about $400 shipped.

Best hood available is from FiberImages.
Unless you got hook ups, or you can get a 5 finger discount
