Can anyone tell me the gear ratios (including final-drive) for a 99 SE 5-speed? I haven't been able to find them anywhere so far (the search engine here, Carpoint, alt.autos.nissan.maxima, etc). Thank you!

Thank you *very* much guys. The "individual" ratio, if you will, is the ratio that variable gearbox in the transmission applies, the final drive ratio is what happens in the differential, etc, and is applied to any output from the transmission. The overall ratio is the two numbers together. So first gear multiplies the engine's torque by 3.29, then by the time you get to the wheels, it's been multiplied again by 3.82, for an effective ratio of 12.56:1.
