Transmission difference?

this may be posted somwhere in the FAQS but I cant find it. Anyway I was replacing my tranny fluid and saw that there are two different transmission available on 4th gens. One is the RS5F50V and the other is RS5F50A. does anyone know the difference? besides the fluid capacity. any help is appreciated as I have been searching for most of the day with no luck.
