Air Bag Light Question

Air Bag Light Question
Hey, I was just wondering what it means when the Air Bag light keeps blinking. Hoping its not a big deal, but something in my gut tells me otherwise. Any input would be great.

Thanks, any idea how much it might cost or is it something they're obligated to fix?

Most likely it is just the SIDE AIR BAG on the passenger side...these are meaningless anyways but chances are once you reset the light that it will work just fine...99's tend to have an issue with this...I was quoted $500 to replace the side airbag....just go back to the 4th gen forum and look down a couple posts from this and you will see another airbag post....follow those instructions to get the light to go off and have the airbags functioning again.

I went to the dealer have my air bag light checked for $69.95. After a few weeks, the light came back on again!!!! =(
The dealer told me that if it does come back on, i might have to replace the system. which is over a $1000. So i said "F..K IT", and i just turned the light off myself by pushing the driver's door switch 6 times within 5 seconds while having the key in the "on" position.
then you gotta turn the key to "off" position, close the door, and then start the engine.

I thought I'd already replied to this, but here goes again...
After putting it in srs airbag diagnostic mode, I was able to tell that my passenger side rear airbag was at fault.
I just wiggled the passenger side rear airbag wire from under the seat and behind the passenger seat cover and cleared the code. I've been fine since.

Check the harness under the seats, After playing with mine and resetting it the light seemed to stay off until something hit the harness. I read another post that said there was a recall on the harness.
