Recently, my brother backed my car into a rock, dealing slight body damage, in addition to something more serious. Somehow he managed to bend the rear left tire inward (the rim + rotor were still aligned, so its not just the rim). When attempting to drive it, the tire made a horrible thumping beat, would not straighten out, and in order to drive it in a straight line, the wheel must be turned about 30 deg to the right. I'm not exactly familiar with the rear end of a 4gen, but could anyone properly diagnose what's broken, and possibly a link for a replacement park?

Here's what it looks like. This is a 5th Gen's but it's similar. There are probably some bent components. You might be able to just take a look and see what looks bent.

It's what's represented by #7 in that picture, as the tire on the left side is still completely dead on, and fine, so i'm assuming itsn ot the entire axle. Any idea what that part's called, and where I could find it?

I don't remember exactly, but I think the whole assembly is welded together meaning you need the whole "U" shaped member. The FSM calls it the "torsion beam" on a 5th Gen. I'm sure it's called the same on the 4th. I'm guessing you need to get that from Nissan, but maybe someone else has an idea where to get one, junkyard maybe? If you replace it yourself look carefully for other damaged parts. The shock could be damaged as well for example.

Right, I'll hack it apart this weekend. That entire piece is known as the torsion beam? or just the bar that was referred to by #7.

It looks like the whole assembly/piece is known as the torsion beam from the FSM. In another pic they are pointing to the bar that runs across the car from left to right and calling it the same thing. Good luck with the fix!

here the piece is the #10 is called lateral link wich can be bough separately it cost between 70-90 bucks
