ghetto bumper lights...:(
ghetto bumper lights...:(
i just bought new diamond clears and they one on the driver side keeps falling out..also it keeps filling with water ( can thanks seattle rain for that one) can i full it up? and how should i securely attach that stubborn light..thanks everyone
I used wire to hold them in (I have cheap @$$ foggy ones though so I hope you didn't pay too much). I attached it to the little nub thing, fed it through the nub's hole and grabbed it with my other hand from inside the engine bay, then attached it to this rod thing on the headlight (I think it may be the headlight aim adjuster).
my light used to fall out all the time when i would drive really fast. i wrapped the little metal rod with a piece of duct tape so it fits in the hole more securely, and ive never had it fall out since! gotta love the duct tape.
nyyce i love you guys
this site is the bomb i thought it was just my jumkymax lol yeah i will defenitely doo that it was just weird how it was only on one side that the light was falling out and only on one side that the light was reataining water...

Ahh...Aftermarket quality. What more can you do, other than cross your fingers and hope they got it right. Clears do look better thou. I wish Nissan would have thought of this. By the way, their not ghetto, just poor quality.
This is off topic and not meaning to hijack but Im selling some diamond cuts that have great fitment to replace those cloudy ones. Check the 4th gen f/s forum.
btw, when i had the same problem a while ago, i used adhesive spray and ducttape =o)

Yea i lost my drivers side one, must have been from going 90+ down the freeway one night
When i get my new ones, ill be sure to double check they are in there good. The one i lost was a cheap ebay one. I just ordered the diamond cut ones from Ange. It all works out.

My drivers side use to fall out too, turns out it was the plastic part on the back that didn't allow it to fit properlly. Grinded it down some with my roto zip and now the metal poll fits in rite and stays put. I use to have tape on it to hold it to the car, because it would fall out and scratched my paint up pretty well.
I don't know about them fogging up(that is that cheap ebay crap), but for holding them in there, try this:
1. unscrew the bolt that holds them in there a little
2. it should have a little more clearance to grab into the bumper this way.
3. bang it in with your fist.
**NOTE: before you do all this, you might just want to get some that are not going to fog up like that. I got mine from custom maxima (I know people curse them), and I have had no problems at all. I know they don't make them there, but they at least sell some that are higher quality than a lot of others.**
