How about neither?!
Don't ruin the nice black interior.

aluminum interior won't look too bad as either. there are plenty of orgers with black interior + aluminum dash kit.

i love my CF kit, but then again I've seen araffio's aluminum in person and that looks hot too. Either way is nice. CF is a little less extreme, imo.

tony, hope you don't mind me using the pic.

You have woodgrain with black interior?
I have never heard of this....
It must be really ugly.
Just take the wood off(it is just a little laminate layer) and clean the glue off and then you have a nice black interior.

Sorry to hear that Luda. O well fast mods are the way to go.

Anyways, i this is a cf kit on tan leather. If i were you since you have a black interior go with the brushed alum. i think that it would make the center console stick out alittle more than the cf.

If you want more there is more on my webpage pg 2.

Why couldn't anybody make a molded kit for us 4th Gens. *sigh* I'm just not a fan of stick on kits. I'll hold out until a molded one is made (I think eventually it will happen).

Oh yea in my opinion aluminium is suited for a flash interior (custom leather, stereo, gauge bezels, etc) whereas CF blends in well with a stock interior (my choice).

Black dash like the rest of the black interior blends in well with the stock interior.

I would go for neither CF or aluminum, personally i like the look of the interior of a black max stock. But this is just MY opinion. Do whatever you want with your car, don't let others decide for you. if you want aluminum go for it. Whatever you decideto do, do it well

I've got a black dash. After a while of looking at it I thought it was getting a bit boring so I went for the CF. After putting in the CF dash kit I wished I went with the aluminum instead.

I'm actually looking for the OEM woodgrain pieces for my wife's max - she likes the wood, what can I say?

Currently, I have an ebay wood kit on hers (tan leather interior) - looks ok, but would prefer the oem woodgrain.

If you were going to do a stick-on kit, would likely look better going over black than over the wood (as you can still see parts of the dash around the edges).

I promise, it is a huge piece of formica type stuff that is stuck on there with some type of adhesive. I took the woodgrain out of a Infiniti Q-45, and I promise the maxima does not have a more real woodgrain than that. Infiniti is the luxury Nissan.

During the Nissan/Infiniti dark ages Infiniti used fake wood. Fortunately they are using real wood now in all their cars...

Yep...so did the 97-01 Q45 that I'm guessing you took the plastic wood out of.

It was actually out of a 92 Q45, but I figured it would be the same as the 4th gens at the time.
