Water Pump Leak! Easy to replace? How much at a shop?

I already have a new water pump to replace the leaking one. Any idea how much its gonna cost at a shop for the labor? Is this a job I can do myself?

It's around $500 at the dealership that's including replacing the belts, thermostat, parts and labor. If you're good its a DIY. If you let just an ordinary mechanic do it make sure he knows what the HELL they are doing.

You probably don't need to replace your thermostat or belts but while my water pump was being replaced it wasn't any extra labor to replace them so I told them to go ahead and do it. But if I'm not mistaken the belts are going to come off to replace the pump anyway. Somewhere on the forum there is a very good detailed description on how to replace the water pump. Try doing a search.

Unfortunately, the wonderful search option is no longer available. Even for people who want to donate.
