Problem with debadging car.....

Well i managed to get off the badges in the back of my max, but it seems that the edge of the adhesive took off the paint too...you can faintly see the outline of the MAXIMA and the nissan logo when you get in close proximity. I was wondering what is the best option:

1. Try to use touch up paint or any techniques that will remove the etched outlines.

2. Just rebadge to hide the problem

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

If you want to slightly speed up the process, every time you wash your car, clay the area where the badge was. Don't forget to rewax.

I really hope you guys aren't just pulling the badges off. You know that you're supposed to use fishing line to saw it off right?

Fishing line, then adhesive remover. Lots of it.

to get rid of the outline, assuming the paint actually didnt come off and the area around "maxima" is just faded, then use some rubbing compound (very carefully, as it'll take off paint) then go over the area again with polishing compound, and finally, some wax... You won't know where the emblems were if you tried ..

I can just see someone saying, "I took a screwdriver and jammed it between the emblem and the car, eventually it broke off."
