ATTENTION: Blown AGX strut in less than 8months?...Anyone else??

Just wanted to know if anyone else has blown or has had problems with their AGX struts making noises(fronts). I installed my new steup this past August, Sprints:2" drop and AGX's with KYB dust boots and all new OEM hardware as well so i know it cant be any of that stuff.
My front passanger side had been making a lil noise over bumps the past few months but i thought nothing of it but the past week or two the strut sounds like its completely gone and is gonna fall out on me I get a horrible thudding sound when i hit bumps and when the car sits for a few hours and i go drive it i hear a very loud horrible sqeeking sound, like the strut dried up(only for the first min or two of driving), but then it goes away. Im assuming my strut is toasted and needs replacement?

It just so happens that i need to change out the axel on the side too cause the CV boot is wripped to $hit too so when i have the assembly off the car is there anyway for me to see if the thing is blown or not myself before i go order a new one? Cause I planned on ordering a new one and doing the whole warranty thing with KYB through a local dealer who is a friend of mine.

thanks for the feedback!

Check for a collection of dirt. Dirt sticks to oil.

And just keep in mind, that AGX aren't warrantied for drops below 1.5in. I hope you'll be able to squeeze it by them since you have sprints.

I've always disliked AGX, GR2s and Blues. I've heard way too many stories of each of those shocks going soft on lowering springs.

I have KYB AGX with Maxspeed springs for over a year now. Everything was fine until resently. I have uneven wear on my front driver's side tire and every little seam in the road makes my car bounce when I ride over it. If I hit a bigger bump, it feels like my car goes airborne. I don't hear any noises, I just get the s#!tty ride.

I have had my AGX's on my car paired up with H&R springs for a year and five months. No problems with the struts functionally, just pretty darn stiff (I have tried all of the settings except 4/8). I want to get some Illuminas but something always comes up . I hope it works out for you and they replace your strut.

I'm having the same problem that you are, ny96max. I"ve had my AGXs for about a year now. I have never had problems with them. But there is an occasional bumping or thuds at the front passenger side lately. I really hope it's not blown. Please God Don't Be Blown!

My warranty was up by the time I put the AGX's on so I had to go and buy more struts.

I believe my rear struts blew within a 3 month period.
