should I replace stock fog lights?
should I replace stock fog lights?
I smashed my driver side fog light while doing e brack spins in a parking lot. I have been looking around for a replacement for the driver side, although the passenger side also has a small crack in it. The reason I wanted to go with the stock setup is because of the fit. I like the fact that they fit flush with the bumper. I know that the stock lights are pretty wuss, is there a good replacement that fits the stock holes well?

I have a driver side light probably available, My passenger side broke by a rock and i just received my aftermarket lights last night. I'll do the install sumtime next week since i work incredibly too much this weekend, PM me and we can talk about prices. Right now i have a offer for 75 + shipping. (Yes the aftermarkets are very small so i am looking something to cover up the gap :/

If you want an upgrade for the fogs you can look into the Lexus Yellow capsule that HIDtech.com offers - http://hidtech.com/projects/lexus%20gs.jpg

You would think that some after market company out there would take a good look at the stock fog lights and develop a good replacement that fit the same way. I am getting sick of the getto hole I have where the fog light is suppose to be.
the stock fogs look good when youre looking at the car, but functionally, theyre close to worthless. im going to be getting the bosch compact 100 from www.danielsternlighting.com as soon as i get the money together. the beam pattern is far superior to our stock fogs. these fogs are 4" diameter, round, so they fill the stock hole quiet nicely! the stock hole is 4" tall and about 5" wide
I would stick with stockers. I was thinking of trying to retrofit some projector type fogs (like the Hella Micro DE) into the stock fog housings. I know that the stock fog lens also effects the beam pattern, so it might screw up the projector's beam pattern. Has anyone tried anything like this? I don't like the look of projector foglights (obviously I like their beam pattern), but I really like the look of the stock fogs.
