now i'm sure this has been asked before but i went through bout 5 pages on the search and didn't find it. but i was wondering if anybody knew how to take the throttle cable off the throttle body. i was looking around and couldn't find any obvious screws or bolts holding it to the assembly. any help would be greatly appreciated.

also, i'm taking it off b/c i think i may have accidentally plugged up the small air bypass hole on the bottom of inside of the throttle body. i remember wiping down the inside of it one time and then when i went to start it up my car started stuttering really bad at idle. does this sound like a correct diagnosis of my idle problem?

thanks again guys.

The throttle cable and cruise control cable(if you have it) is held on by nothing. The end of the cable has a "dot". This dot slides onto the TB cableshaft/slide. To take it off, you turn the TB slides(throttle) to WOT. (engine off!)Then holding the slide w/ one hand, you should be able to loosen the throttle cable w/ the other hand and slide it over the slide and out of the "dot" slot.

Sorry for the messed up terms but once you pull the throttle to WOT, it should be pretty easy to see how it comes off.
