clearing taillights: too transparent.

clearing taillights: too transparent.

so i cleared out one side... it looks alright, but the flourescent light cover i used is more transparent and not as white as the stock clear. it looks kinda weird... ill post pics after.

is this the case with all self cleared tails? or can i get whiter covering? i got mine at home depot, it was the only kind they had. where else would carry this kind of stuff?

i think the only way to match them completely is to do the inners too.

i don't know if it's ever been done or suggested, but maybe paint the housing white behind the new clear, maybe that'll make it look better? just an idea...goodluck

im actually impartial to the tinted lights... not that big of a fan. i see it on vdubs a lot and it doesnt look that great imo.

there is no way the DIY tails will match the stock tails. you either have to do all 4 lights or buy the real red clears.

did you get the clear cover or the white cover? The white one matches pretty good.

clear. i dont know where to find a white one! home depot only had the clear. i guess ill check around local hardware stores.

i just put in my orange bulbs and now im sad. this thing is SOOOO clear. damnit.


so im off to search for a better cover... gah.
