2 strange things, clutch pedal and idle
i had 2 things happen to me today, the first thing, and what im most concernd about is teh idle. i got in my car this morning and started driving, naturally the engine was cold so the idle was high, but after about an hour of driving it had only gone down to 900, it usually idles at 650 and has been up until today. after driving about another half hour, i got home and it was still at 900 UNTIL i parked, put on the e-brake, put it in neutral and let out the clutch, then the idle went back down to 650. up until then it had been idleing at 900 all day.
the 2nd thing is as i was driving, i went to shift gears, and when i let out the clutch, the pedal only came out half way as if it was stuck. i could still push the pedal in and out and still shift gears and drive normally, but the clutch pedal never came out all the way until i pulled it out with my foot.
any insight into what might be going on would be appretiated.
P.S. the only thing ive done to my car in the last few weeks was TB cleanning and new MAF sensor, that was about 1.5 weeks ago.

I had something similar happen to me with the idle. It all of a sudden started idling at 1500 rpms in the middle of the day after driving for nearly an hour.
I opened up the hood and found that I had a loose negative battery terminal connection. I tightened it up and the symptom went away. I guess it was some strange electrical effect making that idle symptom.

anyone else?
i have new information about my idle. it fluctuates as i drive. sometimes it will idle at 1000, sometimes, 900, sometimes 650. it keeps changing and i dont know if this is normal or not. i have to sit still in neutral for a couple of seconds for it to dorp back down to 650.

You need to stop feeding those leprechauns under you hood mega creatine fuel.
No really, i've been having the same problem for a couple of days now. Have you been using the a/c regularly? Could be the temperature acting on the engine, since the days have been getting hotter. But i don't know for sure. Any big gear heads know?
