My Max is either starting hard or only if I push gas. The RPMs are very weird. They are acting very fast on gas, and if I let of the gas, the needle drops down sometimes to almost 600 RPMs. It all start happening after my CPU turned the CHeck engine light. The codes are 0215(EVAP canister vent control valve closed) and 0304(Knocking sensor). The car doesn't make any bad sounds. I've been told that my codes are not relating to my problems. What could cause my problem? I need a car pretty badly to drive to work.

I read a lot in the past few days about this and nothing says that a bad knocking sensor could do what I have. The car didn't stall. Alternator was changed aproximately a month ago, and works fine. Starter i guess is fine too, because sometimes it starts up the way it should, and sometimes only if I push gas with the turn of the key to give it some extra power. Plus a starter would not influence the RPMs.
