Need Help Asap

ok so i was draining my manual tranny fluid and while i was putting the bolt that holds the black thing in place it snapped. So now i have a snapped bolt in the threads and the bolt head broke off clean. Does anyone have any advice for getting it out and getting a new bolt (size).

Thanks,
Robert

Your most inexpensive option is to use an "EZ-out". Basically, its a hardened drill bit and a tap that bites into the broken bolt to remove it. Look for one at your local harware store, follow the instructions. Just make sure you drill into the bolt perfectly into the center. Use lots of penetrating lubricant (PB Blaster)

oh, and after you get the bolt out, go back to the hardware store to match it.

autozone definitely has bolt/screw extracter kits. they come with an ez-out and left-handed drill bits. get the biggest ones that will fit your application. g'luck...

That screw is rather tiny, but if you can get a dremel bit small enough, you could make a notch in the top of the screw; then use a flathead screwdriver to back it out.

I assume the bolt is severed flush; anything sticking out?
