need help finding CF hood.....

im working on piecing together a body kit over the next month or 2, probably an m bumper with a skyline rear and i havent picked out sideskirts yet...my problem is i cant put the kit on untill i get a new hood, i had a little run in with an F250 so nothings gonna line up untill i get the new hood. I've heard a lot of horror storries with CF hoods, i need some opinions on which ones are good and where to get them from, i was thinking fiber images but i dont wanna spend 600+ on a hood, i figure a new hoods about 165 plus paint, im at over 300 anyway...any opinions or info would be greatly appreciated

a new hood is more then 165.

m bumpers are not for sale unless version 2 has been released. version 1 had MAJOR fitment isues.

on cf hoods: you can buy a cheap one or a good one. nothing inbetween. nadir is prototyping a new one buy the test is 6-12 months down the line. looks great now. so your options are cheap out(which i will probably do) and get a cheap one or spend the big cash and get a nice one which will stay nice and be great overall.

if you have the cash i'd say throw some custom ones on similiar to jason. that or the skyline sides.

i hope you have a GOOD bodyshop. i'v seen many a nice kit look like crap because of a cheap body shop. good ones know to put extra flex agent in the front bumper paint as an example...

good luck!

The closest hood price that i have found is about 300 with the group deal. But that's if you are local in NYC. Good luck with that...

M bumpers on the other hand won't come out for another couple of months (supposely). But i think that these things will come out next year due to fittment issues.

A NEW hood painted is gonna be mad loot...lets just say youll be saving money by going the CF route and forking over the $500 shipped unless you know somone that owns a body shop

i think u guys miss understood what i was trying to ask, im looking for opinions from people that have seen and or used a cheaper hood or any hood for that matter and where they got them from. I know what the prices are on oem stuff, my price on a new oem hood is around 165 or 175, i work at a parts store and a salvage yard that deals with oem parts, i also know people that paint and will do a much nicer job for less then a lot of the body shops around here....im not plannin on doing this untill mid to late july before i start ordering body kit pieces, if the m bumper isnt out ill be looking into skyline or sarona, but the hood is the first thing i need and i have no idea where to buy or which one to by....thanx for the help so far
