CEL 07 07... help please
Alright so i just got off from work and as im pulling out the parking lot i notice that my CEL is on. So i get home and scan the ECU for a code. It comes up with 07 07, and that is decoded to Rear Heated O2 sensor. I then go back outside to my car and reset my ECU and start the car up... the CEL is gone. I then take my car for a drive (about 10 miles) and the light never turns on. I rescan the ECU and it comes up 05 05 (no error). Why did this happen? Does it mean that the o2 sensor is going?
Thanks in advanced,
-Tom

0707
"0707" which points to the rear Oxygen Sensor.
Your Maxima has three Oxygen Sensors. Two are front sensors, mounted in
the Y-pipe between the exhaust manifolds and the Catalytic Converter. One
is a rear sensor, mounted in the exhaust pipe downstream of the Cat.
When both front Oxygen Sensors are operating normally the rear sensor serves only to keep tabs on the Catalytic Converter. That's the reason your engine is running well. The Engine Control Module (the computer) is not using the signal from the rear sensor to control engine management functions.
For more information about Oxygen Sensors go to
http://www.volksparts.com/o2sensors.htm
For specific information about replacing Oxygen Sensors on your Maxima see
the Chilton manual (page 4-13) or the Haynes manual (page 6-14).
In a different thread SprintMax said he got a great price on a replacement factory Oxygen Sensor from Vester Nissan. He didn't give a location or contact information. Perhaps he was referring to Vester Nissan of Clinton NC, 1-800-572-2005. Also www.buyoxygensensors.com
You can replace it. Rent the O2 sensor removal tool from AutoZone.

I believe these are good prices for o2 sensors, does any one agree?
OXYGEN SENSOR WHOLESALE
Reading the code 0707 suggests it's the rear but is caused by a failing 1 of 2 fronts, so do you change both fronts or ?????
